Welcome to Discover Indie Apps. These Terms of Service govern your use of this website and any app listing, Featured placement, or Spotlight placement offered through the site.

By using this website or submitting an app, you agree to these Terms.

1. About the Service

Discover Indie Apps is a curated website for discovering iOS apps from independent developers.

We may offer the following types of placement:

  • Listed — Free: A permanent listing in the app catalog, subject to approval.

  • Featured — $79: Featured homepage placement for 7 consecutive days.

  • Spotlight — $149: Top homepage placement for 7 consecutive days.

Featured availability is limited to up to four active placements at a time. Spotlight is limited to one active placement at a time.

Prices and availability may change in the future. Any change will not affect a placement that has already been purchased.

2. App Submissions

Anyone may submit an app that is publicly available on the Apple App Store.

Submitting an app does not guarantee that it will be accepted.

We reserve the right to approve, reject, remove, or decline to promote any app at our discretion.

We may reject apps that we consider misleading, fraudulent, harmful, inappropriate, low quality, unlawful, or otherwise unsuitable for the website.

3. App Information

When an App Store URL is submitted, we may use publicly available information associated with that app, including:

  • App name

  • App icon

  • Developer name

  • App Store screenshots

  • Category

  • Description

  • App Store URL

This information may be obtained directly from publicly available App Store data.

App information remains the property of its respective owners.

4. Free Listings

Approved apps may receive a free Listed placement in the app catalog.

A free listing does not guarantee any particular position, number of views, clicks, downloads, or duration of visibility on specific pages of the website.

Although Listed apps are intended to remain in the catalog, we reserve the right to modify or remove listings when reasonably necessary.

5. Featured Placements

An approved Featured placement provides enhanced homepage visibility for 7 consecutive days.

Up to four Featured apps may be active at the same time.

A Featured placement is a one-time purchase and is not a subscription or recurring payment.

The 7-day period begins when the placement is activated on the website, unless a different start date has been agreed upon.

After the Featured period ends, the app may remain in the catalog as a regular Listed app.

6. Spotlight Placements

An approved Spotlight placement provides the primary promotional position on the homepage for 7 consecutive days.

Only one Spotlight placement may be active at a time.

A Spotlight placement is a one-time purchase and is not a subscription or recurring payment.

The 7-day period begins when the placement is activated on the website, unless a different start date has been agreed upon.

After the Spotlight period ends, the app may remain in the catalog as a regular Listed app.

7. Approval and Payment

Paid Featured and Spotlight placements are subject to approval.

You will only be asked to pay after your app has been approved for the requested placement.

Approval itself does not permanently reserve a placement. A placement may only be considered reserved once payment has been successfully completed and confirmed.

If availability changes before payment is completed, we may offer a later activation date.

Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider.

8. No Guarantee of Results

Featured and Spotlight placements purchase promotional visibility only.

We do not guarantee:

  • A specific number of website visitors

  • App Store clicks

  • Downloads

  • Purchases

  • Subscriptions

  • Rankings

  • Reviews

  • Revenue

  • App Store performance

Results may vary substantially between apps.

Traffic statistics or other metrics displayed on the website are provided for informational purposes and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of future performance.

9. Refunds

Payments for Featured and Spotlight placements are subject to our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Please review the Refund Policy before purchasing a paid placement.

10. Developer Responsibilities

By submitting an app or purchasing a placement, you confirm that:

  • The submitted App Store URL refers to a legitimate publicly available app.

  • You will not intentionally provide false or misleading information.

  • Your use of the service does not violate applicable law.

  • You will not use the service to promote malware, scams, deceptive products, illegal content, or other harmful material.

We may immediately suspend or remove content that violates these requirements.

11. Editorial Independence

Payment for Featured or Spotlight placement does not constitute endorsement of an app.

Paid placements may be identified as featured, promoted, sponsored, or otherwise highlighted where appropriate.

We retain editorial control over the website and its catalog.

12. Third-Party Services

The website may link to the Apple App Store and other third-party websites or services.

We do not control those services and are not responsible for their availability, content, policies, purchases, downloads, or actions.

Discover Indie Apps is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc.

Apple, App Store, iPhone, iPad, and other Apple marks are trademarks of Apple Inc.

13. Service Availability

We aim to keep the website available and functioning properly, but uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.

Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, hosting issues, technical problems, third-party services, or circumstances outside our control.

If a significant outage materially affects an active paid placement, we may extend the placement by a reasonable amount of time.

14. Intellectual Property

The Discover Indie Apps website, branding, layout, original text, and other original content are owned by us unless otherwise stated.

App names, icons, screenshots, trademarks, and other app-related materials remain the property of their respective owners.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of those materials.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Discover Indie Apps will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the website or a promotional placement.

Our total liability relating to a paid placement will not exceed the amount paid for that specific placement.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.

16. Changes to the Service

We may modify, improve, discontinue, or change parts of the website or its services.

We may also update these Terms from time to time.

If we make material changes, the updated effective date will be shown at the top of this page.

Continued use of the service after updated Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of those Terms.
