These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Discover Indie Apps and its listing, promotional, App Deals, and related services.

By accessing the website, submitting an app, or purchasing a service, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Discover Indie Apps

Discover Indie Apps is an independent, curated directory and promotional platform for iOS apps.

Services may include:

  • Listed: A standard directory listing

  • Featured: Free editorial app selections chosen by Discover Indie Apps

  • Spotlight: A promotional placement, normally lasting 7 consecutive days

  • App Deals: Promotion of eligible App Store or in-app offers

Unless expressly stated otherwise, paid services are one-time purchases and are not subscriptions.

The price, duration, scope, and included deliverables shown on the website or during checkout at the time of purchase form part of your agreement with us.

2. Eligibility, Submissions, and Approval

You must have the legal authority to submit the relevant app and purchase services relating to it.

Paid submissions may be manually reviewed after payment. Completing payment does not guarantee that an app or service submission will be approved.

If a paid submission is not approved, the full amount paid for that submission will be refunded in accordance with our Refund Policy.

We may reject, delay, remove, or request changes to a submission where reasonably necessary to:

  • Maintain the quality and relevance of the directory

  • Prevent fraud, abuse, impersonation, or misleading claims

  • Protect visitors, developers, or the website

  • Comply with legal, technical, platform, or operational requirements

  • Address an app that is unavailable, incomplete, inappropriate, or outside the service’s intended scope

Our submission review is an editorial eligibility review. It is not Apple’s App Review process, an endorsement by Apple, or independent verification of every claim, metric, ownership right, or legal obligation associated with an app.

3. Public App Information

When an app is submitted, we may retrieve and display publicly available App Store information, including:

  • App name and icon

  • Developer name

  • Screenshots

  • Description and category

  • App Store URL and identifier

  • Pricing or offer information

  • Other information publicly available through Apple services

You authorize us to retrieve, format, and display this information for directory and promotional purposes.

If information is inaccurate, outdated, unauthorized, or should be removed, contact support@discoverindieapps.com.

4. Listed Placements

A Listed placement provides an approved app with a standard listing on Discover Indie Apps.

A paid Listed submission that is not approved will receive a full refund.

Once an approved listing has been published, the payment is generally non-refundable except where required by law or provided in our Refund Policy.

Where a listing is described as “permanent,” this means it has no predetermined expiration date. It does not guarantee that the website, listing format, app, or service will remain available forever.

A Listed placement does not guarantee traffic, clicks, downloads, purchases, rankings, or revenue.

5. Spotlight Placements

A Spotlight placement normally provides one approved app with 7 consecutive days of enhanced visibility unless a different duration is shown before purchase.

Only one app may occupy the primary Spotlight placement at a time. If the requested period is unavailable, the placement will be scheduled for an available period.

The placement begins when it goes live on Discover Indie Apps—not when payment is made.

A Spotlight placement does not guarantee any particular number of impressions, clicks, downloads, purchases, subscriptions, or other results.

6. App Deals

Developers may submit eligible App Store or in-app offers for inclusion in the App Deals section.

You are responsible for ensuring that submitted deal information is accurate, current, authorized, and not misleading.

Availability, eligibility, redemption, pricing, subscription terms, and other conditions shown by the app or Apple control the user’s transaction with that app.

Discover Indie Apps is not responsible for a developer changing or ending an offer.

7. Payments

Payments are processed through Dodo Payments, which may act as payment provider and Merchant of Record.

Dodo Payments may handle payment processing, billing, taxes, fraud prevention, compliance, receipts, and refunds. Your transaction may also be subject to terms displayed by Dodo Payments during checkout.

Discover Indie Apps does not directly collect or store complete payment-card details.

You are responsible for providing accurate billing and contact information and for ensuring that you are authorized to use the selected payment method.

8. Refunds and Cancellations

Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy and applicable law.

If a paid submission is not approved, the full amount paid for that submission will be refunded.

Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. No Guarantee of Results

Listings, promotions, App Deals, and related services do not guarantee:

  • Website traffic

  • Impressions or clicks

  • App Store visits

  • Downloads

  • Trials, purchases, or subscriptions

  • Revenue

  • Rankings

  • Press coverage

  • Investment

  • User retention

  • Any particular business result

Traffic, click, and engagement figures are estimates and may include repeat activity. They do not necessarily represent unique people, confirmed App Store visits, downloads, or purchases.

10. Submitter Responsibilities

By submitting an app or purchasing a service, you represent that:

  • You are the developer, owner, or authorized representative of the app

  • The information you provide is accurate and not misleading

  • You have the necessary rights to provide submitted text, screenshots, and other materials

  • Your submission does not violate law or third-party rights

  • You will not submit malicious content, fraudulent payment information, or unauthorized personal data

  • You will notify us if important information becomes inaccurate or the app becomes unavailable

11. Editorial Independence

Payment purchases a defined service or placement. It does not purchase a positive review, endorsement, ranking, or favorable recommendation.

Discover Indie Apps retains reasonable editorial control over:

  • Whether a submission is approved

  • How listings and placements are formatted

  • The location and presentation of promotional content

  • The wording necessary to maintain accuracy and consistency

  • Labels identifying paid or promotional placements

12. Third-Party Services and Links

Discover Indie Apps may rely on third-party services including Framer, Tally, Dodo Payments, GoatCounter, and Apple.

Your interaction with third-party services is also subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

We are not responsible for:

  • Third-party website availability or security

  • App Store functionality

  • A developer’s app or privacy practices

  • Transactions completed inside an app

  • Changes made by Apple or another service provider

  • External content reached through website links

Discover Indie Apps is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Apple Inc.

Apple and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the United States and other countries.

13. Service Availability

We aim to keep Discover Indie Apps available and provide purchased services as described, but uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed.

Maintenance, technical problems, third-party outages, security incidents, or events outside our reasonable control may affect website availability or promotional timing.

If a material interruption affects a paid placement, we may extend, pause, reschedule, or otherwise remedy the affected service. Refund eligibility is addressed in the Refund Policy.

14. Intellectual Property

The Discover Indie Apps website, branding, layout, original writing, and other original materials are owned by or licensed to Discover Indie Apps.

App names, icons, screenshots, trademarks, and other developer-owned materials remain the property of their respective owners.

By submitting materials, you grant Discover Indie Apps a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to inspect, reproduce, format, and display those materials only as reasonably necessary to:

  • Review the submission

  • Publish an approved directory listing

  • Provide a Spotlight placement

  • Promote an approved App Deal

  • Operate the purchased service

15. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

We aim to provide paid services with reasonable care. However, to the fullest extent permitted by law, Discover Indie Apps is provided without warranties regarding uninterrupted availability, commercial success, or fitness for a particular business objective.

You are responsible for your app, pricing, legal compliance, and business results.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Discover Indie Apps and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

  • Reliance on directory information

  • A third-party app or service

  • Loss of revenue, profits, data, reputation, or business opportunity

  • Third-party outages or App Store changes

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability relating to a particular paid service will not exceed the amount paid for that service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability arising from fraud, willful misconduct, or mandatory consumer-protection rights.

16. Changes to the Service or Terms

We may update the website, services, pricing, and these Terms as the service evolves.

The effective date will be updated when these Terms change. Material changes may also be communicated through the website where appropriate.

Changes will apply prospectively and will not retroactively reduce deliverables already purchased unless required by law or agreed with the customer.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Albania.

This does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections available under the laws of their country of residence where those protections apply and cannot lawfully be excluded.
