Refund Policy

Effective date: September 15, 2026

This Refund Policy applies to paid services purchased through Discover Indie Apps, including Listed, Spotlight, and App Deal services.

1. Paid Submissions and Approval

Paid submissions may be manually reviewed after payment.

Completing payment does not guarantee that a submission will be approved.

If a paid submission is not approved, the full amount paid for that submission will be refunded.

Approved refunds are generally returned through the payment provider to the original payment method.

2. Listed Placements

If a paid Listed submission is not approved, the full amount paid will be refunded.

Once an approved listing has been published, the payment is generally non-refundable.

A refund is not provided solely because a listing receives fewer visits, clicks, downloads, purchases, or other results than expected.

3. Spotlight Placements

This section applies to Spotlight purchases, which normally last 7 consecutive days.

If a Spotlight submission is not approved, the full amount paid will be refunded.

Only one app may occupy the primary Spotlight placement at a time. If a placement is unavailable, the customer may be offered the next available period.

If the customer does not wish to wait, they may request a full refund before the Spotlight placement begins.

Once the placement begins, it is generally non-refundable.

No refund is provided solely because the placement does not produce the expected traffic, downloads, purchases, subscriptions, revenue, or other results.

4. App Deals

If a paid App Deal submission is not approved, the full amount paid will be refunded.

Once an approved App Deal has been published or its promotional period has begun, the payment is generally non-refundable.

A developer’s later decision to change, end, or withdraw the promoted offer does not automatically qualify for a refund.

5. Submitter Identity and Authorization

You must be the developer, owner, or authorized representative of the app associated with the purchase.

A refund may be issued where a payment or submission was demonstrably unauthorized.

Providing false, misleading, fraudulent, or impersonating information may result in rejection or removal. We may withhold or dispute a refund where permitted by law if the purchase involved fraud, abuse, chargeback manipulation, or material misrepresentation.

Nothing in this section limits mandatory rights relating to unauthorized transactions.

6. Service Interruptions

If a material technical or operational issue prevents Discover Indie Apps from delivering a paid service, we may provide an appropriate remedy such as:

  • Extending the placement

  • Pausing and resuming it

  • Rescheduling it

  • Providing an equivalent placement

  • Issuing an appropriate partial or full refund

The remedy will depend on the nature and duration of the interruption and which parts of the service have already been delivered.

Brief interruptions or issues that do not materially affect the purchased service do not automatically qualify for a refund.

7. No Performance-Based Refunds

Paid services do not guarantee:

  • Traffic

  • Impressions

  • Clicks

  • App Store visits

  • Downloads

  • Trials

  • Purchases or subscriptions

  • Revenue

  • Rankings

  • Retention

  • Press coverage

  • Any other commercial result

Lower-than-expected performance is not by itself a basis for a refund.

8. Duplicate or Accidental Payments

If you believe you were charged more than once for the same service, contact us with the email address used during checkout and the relevant transaction information.

Verified duplicate charges will be refunded.

9. Payment and Refund Processing

Payments and refunds are processed through Dodo Payments, which may act as payment provider and Merchant of Record.

Approved refunds are generally sent to the original payment method. Processing time depends on Dodo Payments, the payment network, the issuing bank, and the customer’s country.

Currency conversion, exchange-rate movements, or third-party banking fees may affect the amount ultimately shown in the customer’s account where permitted by law.

See Dodo Payments’ Privacy Policy for information about its data practices.

10. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email support@discoverindieapps.com.

Include:

  • The email address used during checkout

  • The app’s name or App Store URL

  • The purchased service

  • The payment or order identifier, if available

  • A brief explanation of the request

Do not send complete card information or other sensitive payment details.

11. Statutory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes, restricts, or replaces consumer rights that cannot lawfully be waived.

Where applicable law gives you additional cancellation, refund, or service-quality rights, those rights remain available.

12. Changes to This Refund Policy

We may update this Refund Policy as our services or legal and operational requirements change.

The effective date will be updated when changes are published.

Changes apply prospectively and do not retroactively remove refund rights attached to an earlier purchase.
